Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeAn unusually strong arctic air mass brought sub-freezing temperatures and extreme wind chills to much of central Pennsylvania. This was one of the coldest air masses to affect the region in years. Overnight low temperatures fell to almost thirty below zero in some locations, while highs struggled to climb out of the single digits above and below zero. The cold outbreak closed or delayed many schools over the two to three day period.
Event narrativeevent_narrativeSub-freezing temperatures and brisk winds produced dangerous wind chills of twenty to thirty degrees below zero.
