Areas of the San Diego County coastline observed sets as high as 15 ft and significant coastal flooding due to the King Tides. Surf was less extreme in Orange County but received significant coastal flooding during this event. Many water rescues due to the high surf and rip currents, and extensive damage to the Ocean Beach Pier in San Diego County. |

In Ocean Beach, sets were as high as 10 ft, and the pier sustained extensive damage. The railings were broken on both sides of the pier, and it had to be closed down for an extended period of time for repairs. |
