This increased winds around Prince William Sound above 70 mph, causing some damage in Cordova. In Whittier, due easterly winds combined with an unusually high tide caused significant erosion and damage along the dock.

This caused an extensive amount of damage, which was reported by the harbormaster and public works director. Winds during this time reached between 60 and 75 mph.
