Event narrativeevent_narrativeA Beaufort County Emergency Manager confirmed a rip current along the southern end of Hilton Head Island in the Sea Pines vicinity which led to a 61 year old male drowning. A 60 year old female and 24 year old male lifeguard were rescued from the rip current approximately 200 yards from the beach and were transported to a hospital.
