Episode narrativeepisode_narrativeA swell from Hurricane Ignacio and one out of the southern hemisphere generated surf of 10 to 20 feet along the east-facing shores of all the islands except Lanai, and 6 to 8 feet along the south-facing shores of all islands, respectively. The surf meant extra work for lifeguards, with warnings and assistance to those in distress. And the unusually high surf on east shores occasionally deposited sand and other debris on roadways along the coast.|| There were no reports of serious property damage. As for injuries, a man about 50 years old was found unconscious in the water near the canoe hale at Ala Moana Beach Park on Oahu on the 7th. He was treated by paramedics at then transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
