episode_narrativeAn onshore flow that preceded a low pressure system during the night of the 9th combined with spring tides associated with the new moon produced pockets of minor tidal flooding during the morning high tide on the 10th. The high tide at Sandy Hook (Monmouth County) reached 6.84 feet above mean lower low water and at Cape May (Cape May County) it reached 6.73 feet above mean lower low water. Minor tidal flooding begins at 6.70 feet above mean lower low water. The low pressure system moved from Mississippi around sunrise on the 9th to eastern Long Island around sunrise on the 10th. The low pressure system passed just east of the state and produced a northeasterly onshore flow throughout most of the night.
