event_narrativeCoastal flooding occurred along the coastal sector of Salinas, as the high surf generated by Hurricane Ivan when it was over 300 miles south of Puerto Rico, washed ashore, rocks and debris, which blocked the traffic along coastal highway 109, at barrio Las Ochenta, leading from Salinas to Guayama. The road remained closed for a period of 12 hours.
