event_narrativeA strong ridge of high pressure located about 600 miles south of Samoa generating winds of 25 konts and seas of 6-10 feet couple with swell from an intense low pressure which has moved eastward off New Zealand earlier in the week brought surf of 12 to 20 feet that bounded the islands as the month ends. Thes high sur have caused some coastal flooding along low lying areas from Faganeanea to Leloaloa and Pagai in the eastern part of the island.
