| Event narrativeevent_narrative | On January 6th 2014 The body of 19 year old Petty Officer 3rd Class Rjay Domondon|was recovered around 7 am on the 6th. The victim reportedly went spearfishing alone in waters behind the Agat Cemetery. A 911 call was placed at 7:23 pm on Sunday the 5th of January. A search was conducted by Guam Fire Department, U.S. Coast Guard, and Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25. The search team recovered the serviceman's body that morning.|| On January 9th 2014 two men from Rota, were on Guam on a shopping trip were heading out of the Hagatna Boat Basin on the way home. They were attempting to leave the boat basin entrance when they decided to turn around. The waters were rough near the boat basin channel entrance. High waves capsized the boat in the middle of the channel. Both men were thrown into the water after their 22 foot fishing|boat capsized. A 911 call was received at 7:20 am. The victim was pulled from the water by rescue team members from the Coast Guard and Guam Fire Department. The victim was administered CPR on the way to Naval Hospital were he was pronounced dead at 8:05 am. Tomas Ayuyu Barcinas, 43 was the victim. The other man was in critical condition.||On January 10, 2014 a 47-year old Japanese tourist died after he was pulled out of Tumon Bay by Ypao Beach Park near the Pacific Islands Club Resort. Guam Fire and Rescue got the call just after 11am. When they arrived, Parks and Recreation|lifeguards Mike Benito and Joe Nauta were already performing CPR on the victim. Nauta told us that a windsurfer brought the man to shore, and he still had a feint pulse when they started CPR on him. Medics rushed the man to GMH, performing CPR along the way, but GMH Nursing Supervisor Cely Mangrobang says he was pronounced dead just before noon. |
