episode_narrativeA vigorous low pressure center developed east of the North Carolina coast and moved slowly west and then southwest to position itself east of Jacksonville and Saint Augustine, Florida. The low brought gusty winds and high surf to the coastal areas and eventually evolved into Sub-Tropical Storm Andrea on the 9th.
event_narrativeTides 1/2 to 1 foot above expected astronomical with breakers of 6 to 8 feet. A 225 foot long seawall collapsed in front of ten homes in the 2800 block of South Ponte Vedra Beach; however, this has been an ongoing erosion problem through the Spring.
