This produced near-shore waves as high as 32 feet and the seventeenth largest storm surge ever for Portland at 2.7 feet. Significant splash-over occurred which produced flooding in low lying areas such as Saco, Kennebunk and Kennebunkport. In Saco, near-shore roads were closed due to flooding. The storm tide reached 11.58 ft. with seas of 23 ft. at the time of high tide in Portland Harbor. |
