| episode_narrative | A persistent northwest flow started on February 4th and continued through February 6th. This caused blowout tides around the times of low tide from the mid day low tide on February 5th through the two subsequent low tides on February 6th along the Delaware River and tidal sections of its tributaries. The lowest tides occurred on February 5th. Coming off of the full moon assisted, because spring tides cause the biggest differences in water levels between high and low tides. Low tide in Philadelphia reached 2.8 feet below mean lower low water. Blowout tides start at 1.8 feet below mean lower low water. The northwest flow subsided later in the day on February 6th and the tide cycle was also further removed from spring tides. |
