The incoming swell generated elevated breaking waves, dangerous rip currents, and episodes of localized coastal erosion. Several north-coast beaches experienced periods of high surf and occasional Coastal Flooding near low-lying areas close to the shore, prompting the issuance of Rip Current Statements, High Surf, and Coastal Flood Advisories. Conditions gradually improved as the swell decayed by October 6th. |
