The large waves caused dangerous rip currents through the weekend with numerous rescues being reported from Rye Beach to Hampton Beach. On Sunday evening, a farther and son were caught in a rip current that caused an injury and drowning. |

Emergency personal were able to rescue them from the water, but were not able to resuscitate the son. |
