Agriculture
Agriculture on TerraPulse is organized into two Yeardexes — the dairy Yeardex and
the livestock_meat Yeardex. One slot per year, each a measured record of U.S.
production, drawn from the USDA. No estimates, no projections.

The dexes
Each dex holds one slot per year of measured production. Counts are live and grow as new annual figures are published:
| Dex | Holds | Records |
|---|---|---|
dairy | USDA dairy production, by year | 28 |
livestock_meat | USDA livestock and meat production, by year | 120 |
Provenance
Both dexes trace to the USDA — its dairy and livestock/meat production series, compiled from national reporting. The source is registered against each dex, so any yearly record carries a direct line back to the originating USDA release.
What’s in a record
Each year slot carries:
- Year — the reporting year
- Commodity — the dairy product or livestock/meat category
- Production — measured output, in the reported units (pounds, head, or hundredweight)
- Region — national scope
